Another month, another new arrival at Kearny Mesa Hyundai. This month, it’s time to welcome the 2018 Hyundai Elantra to the family. The popular midsize sedan comes off last year’s redesign with some new features we think you (and everyone else we serve from San Diego to National City) will like.

What’s New
The SEL trim now includes Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and a seven-inch display.

Other Features We Like
There’s a power-operated trunk that gets its hands-free operation from a proximity sensor that picks up on your key fob so you’re not waving hands or feet to get to your stuff. Enthusiast drivers will like the dual-clutch transmission that comes in the Eco, Sport, and GT Sport trims. It’s fun to drive, and in the Eco trim it also helps with fuel economy.

Other Things Worth Noting
Another one of our favorite features in the new Hyundai Elantra is its elbow room. Mind you, the compact Hyundai Elantra doesn’t have the same amount of passenger space as some of its larger competitors. However, it is by no means cramped. After all, the cabin actually pushes the car into midsize vehicle territory.

The Hyundai Elantra has been popular for many years, and this year should prove no different. With multiple trim levels and option packages, two body styles (sedan and hatchback), three engine choices (for everyone from the economy-conscious to the fun-minded) and three transmissions, there are several ways to configure the ideal 2018 Hyundai Elantra.

Of course, we’d rather show you all of this than tell you. To that end, we invite you to Kearny Mesa Hyundai to test drive your next new Hyundai car. We serve San Diego, Poway, and National City, CA from our showroom at 4797 Convoy St in San Diego, CA, and we’re a phone call away at 858-633-0888.
