Hyundai Motor America (HMA), which serves as an official NFL Sponsor, is returning for Super Bowl LI with an even more ambitious and creative program than ever before, and one that will mark several firsts in Super Bowl advertising.

HMA will film a documentary throughout the course of the Big Game that will capture some of the biggest and best off-the-field Super Bowl moments. The advertising spot will run in the “post-gun” slot, which is the first commercial break following the conclusion of the game and right before the Super Bowl trophy ceremony. HMA has tapped renowned director and writer, Peter Berg, who most recently directed the films Patriots Day, Deepwater Horizon, and Lone Survivor, to shoot, edit, and produce the 90-second documentary in real-time. The Hyundai brand is a long-time Super Bowl advertiser and 2017 will mark the ninth time in the last 10 years that it has participated in the big game.
