On November 18, Hyundai revealed the all-new 2017 Hyundai Elantra at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and Kearny Mesa Hyundai as well as all other Hyundai dealerships will start getting the model in January. Let us tell you a bit more about this new model year of one of the best-selling Hyundai models so you can see if it’s for you.

The Elantra will have available premium features like LED door handle approach lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, side mirror LED turn signal indicators and LED taillights with high tech graphics. There are many things we love about this car, but one unique items is that all of the seats are made of SoyFoam™, which is an environmentally friendly seating foam that will take the place of the petroleum-based polyol seats. As for the exterior, the Elantra will come in eight exterior colors, and five of those colors are new for the model.

The car will have two all-new powertrains. The standard engine for the SE and Limited trim is a 2.0-liter Nu MPI Atkinson four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. The other powertrain is a 1.4-liter Kappa turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine that puts out 128 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque.

The new Elantra also offers many advanced safety features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking with class-exclusive Pedestrian Detection.

We would love to tell you more about the Elantra, and we cannot wait to have it here at our San Diego Hyundai dealership to offer you. Though it is just one of the many new cars we will have on our lot, we know it will be a great match for most of our customers.
