All of us here at Kearny Mesa Hyundai know that Halloween is coming up, and we are all getting ready to celebrate. What some of you may not know is that there is another important day in October that is much less known but important. Today, October 8, was chosen to be National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day. This day was made to raise awareness for zero-emissions fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies.
We are very excited about this because Hyundai was the first to offer a mass-produced fuel cell vehicle in the U.S. market in June 2014 with the Tucson CUV. Our Hyundai dealership is so proud of this accomplishment, and we know that the 2016 Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell has so much to offer. In fact for this model year, the vehicle added on HomeLink connectivity as well as two new exterior colors. The new HomeLink system will let drivers open and close their garage doors and security gates with the vehicle. It can also control the home-lighting systems. It is powered by a 134 horsepower AC motor that puts out 221 lb-ft of torque. There is so much more for this vehicle to offer, but you should come in to our dealership to see it for yourself.
We are happy to show off the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell in San Diego, so we hope to see you here soon. Whether you heard about this day or not, we want to raise awareness for the zero-emissions fuel cell and hydrogen technologies that are friendlier for the environment. We know you will love this model when you come in to see it, and you can feel good about doing your part.
