Very exciting things are happening with Hyundai, and we here at Kearny Mesa Hyundai cannot wait to see what the automaker will do next year. At the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show on January 6-9, 2015, Hyundai will be showing a new Display Audio system with no CD player or embedded navigation system.

This system is a high resolution seven inch color touch screen display that has been optimized for enhanced smartphone integrations for the latest generation Blue Link System. This system will launch on select 2016 Hyundai models and will become the Hyundai volume head unit. Those who have an iPhone will be able to use Apple CarPlay so they can put the features from their iPhones right on the touch screen display while they are driving.

This Display Audio infotainment system will features integration with Apple’s Siri “Eyes Free” mode so drivers can keep their eyes on the road. This feature will let owners use the voice command button on the steering wheel to ask Siri questions without taking their eyes off the road. The infotainment system also has music, video and picture storage. It has pause, back and play for the current station, automatic recording of the top six presets, SiriusXM Satellite Radio with enhanced features and so much more.

We cannot wait to see this system, and we definitely cannot wait to see the new car models that will carry it for the 2016 model year. This will just be one of the many features that will be included on the 2016 models, and it makes us even more excited to head into the New Year and for all it will have to offer.
