Here at Kearny Mesa Hyundai, we’re car people. But we also happen to share a love for technology, especially new technology features in cars. We are proud of the technological advancements present in our new Hyundai models. However, one of the most exciting features is still to come. Recently, Hyundai announced that the 2015 Hyundai Genesis will be the first car to support wearable device apps like Google Glass.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Google Glass is basically a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display. What does this mean? You can wear a pair of glasses with a small computer screen attached. Technology users who enjoy Google Glass, smartphones and smartwatches will be able to use these devices to operate their cars. From these devices, you will be able to control functions like locking and unlocking doors as well as the remote engine state. You will even be able to reach diagnostics information.
As for Google Glass, you would be able to scroll through vehicle information on the small screen you wear, and push notifications will inform you when your car needs to be serviced. You will even be able to automatically make a phone call to make a service appointment.
With this amazing technology feature set to added to the 2015 Hyundai Genesis, we cannot wait to see what else will be in store for us. Come into your local Hyundai dealership in San Diego to hear the latest news about upgraded technologies.
